2023 SEASON TRYOUTS

For each of our Township Blue Sox teams, our intention is to have rosters selected by Feb 12th.

Tryouts for each team will be held in January. Dates, times and location are TBD.

TOWNSHIP BLUESOX

Players who live within the catchment for North Langley Baseball and Aldergrove baseball must be registered for the spring season.

** Players that DO NOT live within our two associations (North Langley and Aldergrove) catchments will be required to have a “Try Out Release” completed and signed by their home association President. Please advise the NL President, Ray Clark president@nlbaseball.ca that you have applied for one, and then forward him the signed document. Out of catchment players are not required to register with us until they are selected for a roster.

As with any other high Performance teams, there are additional costs. Any registration fee that is paid to your home association will not cover any Team Fee’s or Uniform Kits. As we approach the final Roster Selection phase, more details will be available about the amount you can expect.

FEE’S

The goal for the Township program is to offer a High Performance program at accessible costs in comparison to similar clubs.

Once a player has been selected for a team, there will be a team budget meeting which will discuss all team fees and player kit fees.

Over the past few years of this program, the average player costs is approximately 1200 – 1500 which is in addition to the registration fee paid to your home association. As well, any potential out of town travel will be an additional cost for players (hotel if required, ferry costs if required). In some instances, out of town games do not require an overnight stay.

COMMITMENT

As this is a high performance club, understanding the time commitment expected from players is important. We anticipate practicing and playing games 4-5 days per week. Games on weekends can be double headers.
